We came upon the invitation of their Living Sociology Club, which relished the idea of meeting the production team and cast of our homegrown documentary.

After a short meet and greet, everyone settled in to watch our film “Now Place Your Bets” from 6 – 7:45 pm. A panel discussion followed, moderated by CSN professor Fred Conquest. Executive producer Dennis Tobler led the panel in answering student questions about the film and sports betting industry in general. He was joined by cast members Norm Kelley, Steve Prentky, Ed Kokosky and John Wholihan.

Overall, we’re delighted by the positive feedback and look forward to more opportunities to show our documentary in other venues.

Trip is based in Salt Lake City, UT and flew in to do this critical job. He hit it right out of the ballpark! His tone and pacing were a perfect fit as you’ll see when you watch the film. We’re glad the narration tracks turned out so well, rounding out the final stage of our post production.

And no one is better at telling how it all started than executive producer Dennis Tobler, whom I interviewed last night on this topic. He appeared in and produced some of the earliest shows in the late 1980s and continued making them in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Our documentary will feature exclusive footage of these shows that were syndicated nationally. Definitely a must-see!
