This was my first meeting with Mr. Dennis Tobler at his Las Vegas residence. He asked me to consider the prospect of directing a documentary on the history of sports betting in America. I was immediately intrigued by his offer. I told him my knowledge of the topic was sketchy at best, and I wasn’t really big on sports or gambling. He said that was fine, and that it actually would be to the project’s benefit to have someone come in with a set of fresh, objective eyes. I told him I’d give it serious thought.
A week later, I agreed to get onboard with the project.
